Mother loves to sing! Haven’t heard her for the past week!
Meet …Sad Sack Sadie
Quiet …introvert
Most days, I recall
She’s no trouble …at all.
She loves to sing
All day long
Whistles …too
Out of the blue.
Her wants are few
Her needs are many
She’s a restless child
With a pretty penny!
When she comes to visit
It’s a pleasure to find
She’s harmless …like a dove
I relax …unwind.

Quiet like a mouse
Moody in the house.
Nibble this and that
Kind of like a cat.
Hopping like a rabbit
Or shuffle…it’s a habit.
Chirping like a bird
Or so …I’ve heard.

Like the Eagles cry.
Busy like a bee
Nosey as can be.

You love old movies, they rattle… my head
Seen them once or twice…you’ve said.
I smile…right! Maybe…today!
You’ve seen them so often, tread’s wearing away!
The best parts for you…the songs
You sing, THE WHOLE NIGHT LONG!
I must admit, I’ve enjoyed them…too
At least the first dozen times through!
But… it keeps your heart light… awhile

We’re driving to the store
The radio, you can’t hear
Unless I blast us into
Next year!
You become a songbird
Up and down the scales
you pause and breathe
Then continue..and..exhale.
Ten minutes later
We’re in the store to shop
Up and down the isles we go
Shopping till we drop.
You say, where are the singers
They’re singing my song
I look around…fooled me!
Definitely been shopping too long!

You come out of your room clapping
Thanking me for singing a song
Sorry Momma, it’s not me
Not me whose singing along.
In your mind, the whole world sings
Even the trees and the sky
You wonder why I don’t hear them
I ask, do you? How and why?
I tell you angels are singing your song
You remember them in your mind
God is nudging you along
It’s calming, helps you unwind.
You nod this could be true
It happens every day
I know God watches over you
