Angel Eyes

Old habits … hard to ignore
Meander thru time … forevermore
Sad… you say … till daylight’s restored
Not ready … to pillow your head
Most around you … snoring in bed
You fight sleep … seen this before
A night owl … walking the floor
Your angels … go with your flow
Keep eyes on you … incognito!

You Hit An Angel

Someone’s drowning …you say
Loved ones …you know
You see … hear …loud ‘n  clear
Hallucinations …on the go
Calming voices …try …to help
Can’t get through … your daze
All worked up …you swing
Hit an angel …my dismay
Your agitation …comes and goes
You’re sorry … compassion shows
It’s … the way …  it goes
No meanness …meant …I know!

Wandering Lucy

You’re begging me to take you home
You’re all over the place
Your angels are trying to help
You anger …shows in your face.

They’re patient and kind
They’ve a strong constitution
They’ve done this before
I’ll be strong …my resolution!

Days come …and go
Soon …a breakthrough …I know
You’re letting them help with your care
You’re asking …who, what, and where?

They’ve adjusted your meds
And your sleeping is better
A daily schedule …helps
Now …what’s the matter?

Seems … you feel bad
For what we’ve been through
Yeah! I see you Mom
So long …Lady Blue!

Hopefully this coming week, Mom will be able to come home. Dr. says take a day at a time…delusion and illusions continue….

The Corner Room

You’re in …the E.R.
You tell me …go away
Please Mom, …it’s me
You’re hateful …and mean …no way!

You need help …in a hurry
They’re not moving fast enough
Please help my Mother …NOW
DO SOMETHING …STUFF!

Time passes …way to slow
Eventually …help arrives
An Angel …in disguise
She’s smart …and wise.

To a special place
With angels …all around
Meet your needs and help
My heart is sad …my nerves …WOUND!

Spent time in the emergency room in a corner room in full view of the nursing staff, before being transferred to the behaviour unit. I was able to be near Mom, yet out of her sight while I made phone calls to siblings. Mom was wild….I was overwhelmed….time stood still FOREVER!

Paramedics …Angels

What can be said
For those who came
Saved us …that day
From a dreadful …game.

You played …hide and seek
Couldn’t find my way
To where you were
Friends …saved us …that day.

Then …sweet medics came
Professional …and kind
Soothed talked you …soon
We both could …unwind.

They came …they helped
They carried us away
To get the help needed
Our Angels …that day!
