A journey in time with Alzheimer's

Soaring souls

Souls soar … to heaven
Heart’s … left behind
Tears of joy ‘n sadness
A quandary to … unwind
Jesus is … the answer
Less sadness more joy
Hope … is … eternal
For every girl and boy
Time … to reminisce
Fewer tears … not more
Remember … happy years
Suffering stops at heaven’s door.

My inspiration for this poem came because a dear friend lost her husband this week. I got to read this at the All Is Brite ceremony at the hospital Friday, I didn’t realize there were so many lost TRMC employees, my friends Joyce Curry and Millie Tyson were among those for whom a candle was lite. I’m a better person for having known these women and others who have passed from this life. In my own family, so many, young and old. Only Jesus holds life in his hands, none other.
