A journey in time with Alzheimer's

Just thinking

Daily … thoughts … wandering
Not sure … why … where
Just … hanging … around
Sanity … floating … beware
Lost my friend … to heaven
It’s been a bit … of time
Heart’s having … troubles
Rationale … lingering behind
So en-grained … in my life
Then … ignorant … how much
Unaware … extent of loss
Till … no longer … in touch.

one day you will turn a corner and realize that ‘life goes on’. It will always be in your heart but not always on your mind.. I send you my love

Iwant to tell you this…in 1969 my Mother died and on the anniversary of her death( 22 December) I would be at the place where her ashes were buried at 6am which is the time she died. Every year I did this until 1973 when my youngest daughter was born…I went to the church yard as usual and I sat upon the fence , just as I had done before but this time I felt that she was talking to me and telling me to leave her alone and not to come again….Since that time I have never returned, and sometimes I even forget the date of her death . I have her picture on my dressing table and I often talk to her as if she was in the same room.
That was 47 years ago..gone but never forgotten
