A journey in time with Alzheimer's

Go long

Go long … shouted from the sky
I’m running hard … not knowing why
Your life … a ways … to go
Lift your eyes … God loves you so
No time to cry … sobs … tears
You’ll waste away … remaining years
Enjoy the day … make memories dear
Others need your time … your cheer.

  1. This is a very powerful poem. Although it’s perfectly okay to not be strong all the time, I can see your strength here and respect it. You’re right, people need us and we need to remember that, even in our own times of pain and suffering.

I am not sure why, as it has little to do with your words but this comes into my head ‘ Keep your face towards the sun, then the shadows will always be behind you’
