A journey in time with Alzheimer's

Grief engulfs me … found this draft written a week after Momma’s passing/I’ve come a ways!

Whispering winds … take me there!
Above … chimney tops … thru atmosphere
On wings of eagles … I must … fly
She’s gone from earth … above the sky
Far away … I miss … her smile
Yes I know … I’m in … denial
The journey … mission … care for her
Engulfed me … my heart … did stir
Her time … too short … for me
My heart’s heavy … don’t you see?
My prayer to God … who calms my heart
Wisdom thru grief … to me impart.
