Wringing hands … stutter … stammer
Mom’s disgruntled … what’s the matter
“That woman” … all day long
Peeks in my room … doesn’t belong
Up and down halls … she roams
Says she’s waiting … to go home
Asks … have you seen … my son
Everyday … asks … everyone
Forgets … yesterday … gone
Wayward … lost … that’s what’s wrong
Disbelief … my mind’s overloaded
Thinking … it’s you … can’t you see
Plain as the nose on your face … to me
Deja vu … looking glass
Antics … not meant to … harass
They’re you … you’re them … guarantee
These apples fell … far … reality’s tree.

I always think of your Mom and as individual person in this care home but she is not alone..there are others will the same nasty illness and for her it must be very difficult to understand that she and them are all there for the same purpose. How confusing it must be….Bless her and all the other residents
