A journey in time with Alzheimer's

Steadfast

Clearing thoughts in my head
Let it go … pillow said
Breathe in slow … in … out
Words can hurt … there’s no doubt
Can’t change … where you … are
Or when you feel the need … to spar
Can only promise … not to run
Steadfast … till day is done
Not to … with my sadness … flee
Swallow … hard … sweet misery
Strength and solace … from above
He holds our hands … binds our love
Short term memory … paves the way
Refreshes … sweetly … each new day.

When I get to Heaven I am going to ask God ‘why?’…why do all the good people get these nasty illnesses and have to leave us early whilst the cruel, barbaric, inhumane killers in the world get to live a long healthy life. lovely post , so near to your heart, Bless you and your family
