Found you shuffling down the hall
You see me … “Sheila Grimes” you call
They’re mean … needles aimed at me
You say … alarmed … profanity
Goodness Mother … tell me all
In my mind … words … recall
Flu season … time … inoculate
You forgot … my articulate
We talked of what needed done
Agreed … from … everyone
So now … anger in your eyes
You forgot … not surprised
Short-term memory … surmised
Talk it out … my head is thinking
Holding tears … my eyes are blinking
Sweet angels … nurses … got it done
Heartfelt thanks … everyone!

having a needle stuck in you at the best of times is unpleasant so its not surprising that Mom got slightly irate…I expect that when you were a baby and had to have injections you might have reacted in the same way, so Mom is just the same.
I had to have some blood taken last week and that was painful, saying ‘ no pain’ over and over again did not really help and now I have big bruises….
Give her a cuddle and tell her what a good lady she is…. xxxxx
