A journey in time with Alzheimer's

Silent Screams

A tree falls in the forest … thunders to the ground
No one hears … no one is around … still noise?
An Alzheimer’s person babbles … not talking
Thoughts … still linger … in the mind
Frustration … anger … silent screams … heard?
The tree is on the ground … it fell
No thunder heard … but it’s on the ground
The face … of an Alzheimer’s person
Sad … distorted … painfully gloomy
Where are the screams? No sounds!
But … the gloomy face … sadness in the eyes
Surmise … the Alzheimer’s person is screaming
Listen with the heart … reach out with kindness
Hear the screams … see the pain … catch ‘em
When they fall!
