A journey in time with Alzheimer's

Moody Blues

Walking in … bar the doors!
Sad Sadie‘s here! Need say more?
Eyeing me … suspiciously
I want to … turn ’n flee
I sit and smile, she not  … to me
Then … she’s gone … up and flees
I see you Mom!  Lucy’s here
Changes …  the … atmosphere
But close behind … yep … Lady Blue
Takes over … in spite of you
Emotionally … you’re locking horns
Draining … leaves you  … forlorn
I’m thinking … soon  they’ll  go away
Then Momma and me  … rule the day!

  1. Draining, I’m sure. ❤

    • At times … not always sure the best way to handle situations. I know I don’t always react the way she needs me too. Today at the nursing home, someone said to me … you might as well move in (I visit most days) … I stopped and turned and smiled, “but I get to walk away”.
