Visiting Mom … I see you there
Calm … sad … blank stare
Just … wanting … to be alone
Another touches … you
Now … you’re … in a stew
Smoldering anger … Lady Blue?
Caregivers … Johnny on the spot
Save the day … bad episode … NOT
Adrenaline high … now low
Crisis averted … steady as you go!

I am not sure who I have the most sympathy for:
Your Mom because of how she is and how much she hates being like this. It is something which is not her fault , she did not ask for Alzheimers..it just happened and she cannot do anything about it.
OR:
you..it is so hard to see someone we love disintegrating into an abyss from which there is no return and that you cannot do anything to help her or to stop it…the feeling of helplessness is overwhelming….
My only consolation to you both is that God is with you ….does this help?..I do not know

Jesus is our right hand, our rock, our common denominator! Yes He does certainly make bad days tolerable. Can’t imagine life without Him!
