Arriving to visit … another … fall?
Gosh … you say … hurts not at all
You’re tough … we’d all agree
Then … a grimace … peeking … I see
Swollen and painful … needs attention
Splint it … you have apprehension
You forget … why … hurts at all
Mom … you’ve had … a hard fall
Your wrist … swollen … misery
Please keep it still … less pain … remedy
Soon an x-ray … then on to E.R.
So much waiting … you’re patient by far
Finally confirmed … yep … it’s broke
Hard to believe … you say …not a joke
Temporary cast … put on
A sling … you want it … gone
On the way home … you explode
This thing on my arm … throw to the road
Again we discuss … how, when and why
Really … not telling a lie.

you are such a caring and loving daughter who is doing her best……so try to put yourself in Mom’s shoes…she was not always like this and it is not her fault that she is as she is..it is that rotten nasty illness….It is hard on you, when time and time again you have to cope with yet another situation but remember that one day that situation will not be there anylonger.
If I could only give you a big hug and tell you that it is ok, then I would….but I am too far away so instead I shall pray for you to have the strength to continue what you are doing with a smile on your face.
Love you Sheila ! this is what you Mom would say and she would say ‘thank you for being there for me’…so I say it instead xxxxxx
