A journey in time with Alzheimer's

Tootsies

Slipping ‘n sliding …down the hall
Where are your shoes …nurses  call
They’re on my feet …can’t you see
Think I don’t know how …to dress …me
Listening to this …makes it quite clear
You need intervention …I volunteer
Smiling …to you …checking your footsies
Tells the story  …need shoes on your tootsies!

Such a simple action can cause such consternation..but when your mind does not fully connect with normal action it can be devastating. Your poem was great and yet so gentle
