A journey in time with Alzheimer's

Waiting … On Sandy

Dangling …feet
Twisted …smile
Folded … arms
Waiting … awhile
Silent …time
Words …not spoken
Needs …assurance
Love’s … not broken.

Hard to get through to Mother that everything is O.K.    She can’t hear much and won’t wear her amplifier, makes me sad. On the way home from the  doctor visit, I say …Mother, you know I love you!   She says …I know, and sips on her vanilla milk shake from McD’s.
