A journey in time with Alzheimer's

I see your hands, your face, your nose
I see your feet ‘n head ‘n toes
Even though these parts I see
You’re still invisible …to me
A shadow …of what has been
A thought …of years gone by
A notion …is there more?
No sense asking …why
Surely …the veil will lift
Surely …the lights go on
But …surely not …I see
As you …fade … from me.
