When Mom is in an Alzheimer’s Stew (so to speak) and escalates, no fun is had by all! I give her a medicine prescribed and she sleeps over 10 hours straight! Scarey, but it works! She’s only had that medicine a handful of times in past 6 months. Thank goodness, most days we are able to distract her or tolerate, OR maybe we’re just getting TOUGH!

My mother sometimes got very combative at one stage of her Alzheimer’s. It made her very hard to deal with. Now she is so flat that I almost miss the old combativeness.
