Polyester and cotton
Stuffing and thread
That’s Mary
No eyes in her head.
Arms and legs
Yellow hair… a belly
A dress and a coat
She falls over like jelly.
No burden she brings
No worries you share
You treasure this doll
With the yellow yarn hair.

Mother made this doll years ago….enjoys it…When she got it, she said, where did that come from, I said Meta sent it, it’s yours, you made it. She thought for a moment and picked up the doll and said, come on Mary. So cute! When I was in N.Y. for the winter two years ago, I bought eyes for the doll at a craft shop and Mom left them on briefly, never said much about it, they were just GONE …so …what to conclude from this …heaven knows! We know she doesn’t take change well!
