A journey in time with Alzheimer's

Definition of hallucination:

1. False sense perception:    the perception of  somebody or something that is not really there, which is often a symptom of psychiatric disorder or a response to some drugs.

2. Something imagined:    something that somebody imagines seeing, hearing, or otherwise sensing when it is not present or actually occurring at the time (often used in the plural).

We   deal with this issue EVERY DAY.  I say the Angels are singing to you mom, and she laughs. When  she  insists someone  is singing   and asks me  directly, I tell her I hear nothing.   Sometimes she pushes my buttons and I tell her the truth, that she’s hallucinating  and she gets angry…so…I’m back to the Angels theory!   For her,   what’s  forgotten…NEVER WAS.   What’s heard …IS!    CARING IS SHARING.
