Years from now, these days will be told
As yesterdays, days of old.
Hindsight makes clear, and wisdom blooms
What we’ve gone through, over us looms.
Happy or sad, our memories we hold
Year after year, our tales are…retold.
Alzheimer’s brain can’t…give good recall
Like a car out of gear… stalled.
Memories are jumbled in clusters and bumps
And come together, mashed and in lumps.
A lesson to learn… from your woe’s and strife
Enjoy the now… in this journey of life.
We’ll hold tight the memories we have
And share with you, on days you are sad.
A gift from God above
Your memories, to us, with love.
