I’ve heard that phrase a million times, guess it’s true
If you’re missing a brain, no headache will pursue
No brains, no headaches is a simple way you say
It’s none of your business, I’ve forgotten anyway.
You’re perturbed when you say it, but keep a smile
You continue engaged in conversation, for awhile
Soon you leave and take your non-memories away
Resting, to remember not, another day.
You want so badly to make sense of things
You get disgruntled just putting thoughts in place
Just when it seems you might be on the verge
Of knowing what you think, your thoughts all merge.
Once again, confusion wins the battle
And you’re left in the middle of a tangled web
You’re a fighter, holding tight to a thought
Time is your curse, snatching what you’ve wrought.
