A journey in time with Alzheimer's

Scurry And Hurry

Your care of my mom has been super
I appreciate all  you have  done
So let me take time to say thanks
To each and everyone.

Hurry,  clock in  to get started
Grab sheets, there are pillows to fluff
Scurry,  Ms X  needs to be fed
To the med room for Mr. Y’s stuff.

Hurry and finish your charting
You’ve hours and hours to do
Oh, here comes the Doctor to visit
It takes just take a minute or two.

You flop in a chair.. a ten minute break
Your feet are barking like dogs
The phones are ringing.. patient calls
Off go your dogs down the halls.

So how are you feeling with this and with that
Sounds like a bummer to me
But, it’s all in a day’s work, it’s what you do
A heartfelt thanks… from me to you.

After a week in a hospital in Northeast  Texas,  just had to write a thank-you poem to the staff, they were so caring and kind to mother.
