Bring the plates and knives and forks
Place them in the sink
Add the water and the suds
They’re done in just a blink.
After washing, they’re set up
Like little ducks in a row
You wipe and dry the counter tops
Your face is all a glow.
So now I know a secret
To keep your happy heart
It’s simply doing dishes
Like painting, it’s an art.
